On October 16, 2026, Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab announced in Kitchener, Ontario, that Express Entry high wage points will start on November 3. Candidates with Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer in a high wage occupation will earn additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, and job offers will no longer need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
